Teen Harvest
Welcome!
Our History...in a nutshell!
Teen Harvest is a Christian discipleship school that we began building in 1989 to provide a new venue for some of the "street kids" that we were ministering to at that time.  Some of these kids simply needed a place to call home and get off the streets.  They either had no real family or didn’t feel safe at home.  Others had found new faith in Christ and needed a place of refuge where they could get away from their old environment and learn to follow Christ.  All of them needed to be taught discipline and how to work and get along with others and to respect authority.

We formally organized in 1991 as a Christian Boarding School.  During this time, we also established a relationship with Youth for Christ (YFC), Tacoma, WA, and conducted a community outreach called, "Breaking Free" in Eatonville, WA.  We also began to take kids into our home and school through YFC’s foster care ministry.  In 1993 the former Mountain Community Church, in Ashford, WA, donated their facilities to us and we moved there in June of that year.

While there, we added to our load a local outreach to kids called "Friday Nite Youth Thang".  We ministered to over 100 local kids over the years we were there.  We also assisted families in the area who home-schooled their kids through providing fellowship, materials, educational and other support and interaction for the students.

In 2002, we moved our school to a farm in Missouri where we have room to grow and are no longer "land-locked" in small quarters.  We are really excited to have before us a new future and a renewed dream to reach out to today’s hurting kids.  Here, we re-organized as a church to reflect our conviction that what we do is not "para-church" in nature, but is, in fact, an integral part of the work of God, through His Church, in the lives of people whom He wants to redeem.  Please refer to: Matthew 28:18-20 and Proverbs 22:6.

Our mission has not changed.  We are here to train kids to live in a godly way as productive citizens of both their temporal and heavenly homes.
