The purpose of Teen
Harvest is to provide a Godly family and school
environment for Jr. and Sr.
High young people who are in need of
special educational arrangements or whose
parents are unable or unwilling to provide all
of their needs at the present time.
It is our desire to teach these young people
that the God of the Bible is real and alive.
(Matt. 16:16) That He is a triune God, and that
God the Father, through His son Jesus Christ, by
the Holy Spirit, is the only means of salvation.
(Matt. 1:20-25, Eph. 2:8, Is. 46: 10& 11) It is
by Jesus virgin birth, perfect and exemplary
life, and sinless sacrifice on the cross that we
can be redeemed from our sinful "natural man".
(Rom. 3:23, I Pet. 1:18-20, I John 2:1&2)
Man without salvation is depraved, and lost:
eternally separated from God and doomed to spend
eternity in the Lake of Fire according to the
Holy Scriptures -- the Bible. (Heb. 10-.26-30)
We want each person to understand that the Bible
is the only inspired, infallible word of God,
and that it can be trusted in it's every detail.
That the Bible is perfect and complete,
and that it contains everything we need to know
for life, salvation, and purity.
Every issue of life is answered within
it's covers. (II Tim. 3:16 & 17)
It is our desire to teach these teens, that
while "all have sinned and fallen short of the
Glory of God", that it is God's desire that we
all strive towards Holiness, and to follow in
the example of Christ.
It is not a hopeless battle that cannot
be won, but one that takes commitment, and a
sincere love for the Lord throughout our lives
to achieve. (Rom. 3:23, I Thess. 4:7-9)
One of the most important things for a young
person to understand is that we don't obey God
necessarily because of law (do's and don'ts) but
because we love Him and He loves us.
It is not a "bummer" or a burden to obey
and serve God; it is our "reason" …our whole
reason to live.
(Eph. 2:8-10, I John 4:7&8)
We further wish to educate these young people
academically in such a way as to give them a
sense of confidence in their own ability and not
cause them to feel overshadowed by others who
are better achievers.
We want to set the very highest standards
of education possible, Furthermore, we would
like to teach trade skills to each student
according to their aptitude and desire.
These should include home management
skills. (II Tim.2:15)
Our purpose is to teach the total person (i.e.
intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and
physically). - To proffer a desire to change
into whom God made them to be.
